Dr. Newirth
David Newirth is a Naturopathic Physician trained and licensed as a primary care physician. His emphasis is to promote health and wellness through natural approaches. He received a BS Natural Sciences from the University of Alaska Anchorage, followed by his Doctorate of Naturopathy from the National College of Naturopathic Medicine, an accredited, 4-year medical school in Portland, Oregon.
Naturopathic Medicine is a system of healthcare that focuses on restoring the body to its optimal state of health by supporting and strengthening the body’s natural healing abilities. Naturopaths use natural supplements, nutrition and lifestyle counseling. Dr. Newirth uses standard diagnostic approaches such as lab work and diagnostic imaging to assist in determining the disease process at work. He also is then trained to naturally treat a wide variety of conditions.
Dr. Newirth has extensive training and experience in the following areas of natural medicine: clinical nutrition, botanical medicine, homeopathy, physical medicine, biofeedback, Bowen therapy. These approaches enable him to effectively assist people in their quest for health and wellness on the physical, mental/emotional and spiritual levels of their beings.
Dr. Newirth combines his previous 12-year career as a Master Chef and Certified Dietary Manager with his current medical career to bring a unique and caring approach to Alaska Natural Health Solutions.
